Cheyenne was born and raised on Alaska's Kenai Peninsula. She was brought up in a Christian home and trusted Jesus as her Saviour at a young age. Although she struggled with doubts about her salvation as a child, she became fully convinced of Christ's lordship in her life at the age of twelve. It has been an adventure of grace and growth ever since.

At three years old, she became a 'staff kid' at Higher Ground Baptist Bible Camp in Sterling, Alaska. Thus began a life-long love for camp ministry that eventually carried her on to Ironwood's Institute of Ministry in the fall of 2016. After completing three years of IIM, she graduated the program and moved back to Alaska for a year. In January of 2020, she felt that God was calling her back to California, this time for Ironwood's Ministry Bound in preparation for full-time camp ministry.  She fully intended to leave after the two year program. Instead, she met Gabe and married him in May of 2022 after the two had dated a little over a year. God used this relationship to bring her back to Ironwood as full-time staff.

Currently, Cheyenne works as an administrative assistant and supervises meals as a head cook in the Ironwood Homestead. Her favorite part of her job is getting to invest in the Institute of Ministry students that work with her. She enjoys writing and hiking when the busy camp schedule allows her some free-time.

Gabe spent most of his life in Northern California. He made a profession of faith at the age of eight but there didn't seem to be much a change in his lifestyle. At fourteen, he struggled with assurance of his salvation because of the lack of fruit. Then, because of a week of camp, he became confident in the reality of his salvation through Christ. God has continued that work of grace by producing fruit in Gabe's life and making him more like Jesus.

He spent his teen years going to camp at Wolf Mountain in Grass Valley, California. After graduating high school, he attended Wolf Mountain's "Bridge to Campus" program for two years followed by three years of apprenticeship at the camp. It was during this time that he felt led to full-time camp ministry. During the first outbreak of COVID, he had to leave Wolf Mountain and came to Ironwood as a volunteer. In the fall of 2020, he returned as a member of Ministry Bound where he met Cheyenne. Ironwood asked him to join the resident staff team in August of 2022.

Gabe currently oversees the vehicle maintenance and repair at camp, as well as taking care of the MAG shop. He enjoys the challenge of diagnosing mechanical problems and coming up with solutions. When he's not working, his hobbies include reading, swordplay and guitar.
